Audition prep

online and in-person Acting Classes in Miami

Auditioning is an art form.

For most actors, auditions are more frequent than jobs. And for many, they’re a source of nerves, frustration and a missed opportunity.

This class reframes the entire process.

You will learn to treat every self-tape and audition room as a space to do what you love most: act. The energy changes. Confidence grows. Choices land. And you leave knowing you’ve shown the casting team exactly what you can do.

How the Work Unfolds

Every week, you receive new audition sides to simulate the rapid turnover of typical casting requests. You memorize, prepare, and enter class as if it were a real audition.

The process:

  1. First Take: You will simulate walking back into the room as if it were a real audition. After introductions, you perform your sides on camera.

  2. Guided Work: Once everyone has their first take, we go through the roster again. Notes are given, scenes are refined, confidence in entering the room is strengthened.

  3. Second Take: We re-film the worked material. Leaving you with two tapes: your original take and the one refined through the session.

Week after week, the repetition trains the art of auditioning, making it instinctive and turning you into the actor every casting director dreams of.

The Approach

Audition prep is about mindset as much as technique. We practice weekly so that nerves, uncertainty, and hesitation no longer dictate your performance. The goal is for it to feel like second nature to walk into an audition room or film a self-tape, so you can fully inhabit the work and let your talent shine.

This class teaches you to:

  • Approach every audition with clarity, focus, and grounded confidence

  • Build professional instincts that casting directors notice

  • Treat self-tapes and live auditions as opportunities, not hurdles

Actors also have the option to bring in their real audition material when appropriate, making the work both practice and direct preparation for real-life opportunities.

What You Will Develop

  • Confidence and poise from the moment you enter the audition room

  • The ability to quickly analyze sides and make bold, precise choices

  • Comfort and professionalism on camera and in person

  • The skill to turn self-tapes and live auditions into expressive, polished performances

  • A mindset that treats every audition as an opportunity rather than a test

  • The instinct to show casting directors exactly why you are the actor for the role

Placement

Every actor enters at a different point in their artistic process. That’s why placement is required.

After a phone consultation, you’ll be placed intentionally in a room that aligns with your current experience and supports your growth in audition technique.
