Meet magali Trench
Storytelling is one of the most powerful forces we have.
When handled with care, acting has the ability to move people toward themselves. Toward feeling, empathy, and what it truly means to be human. In a world that rarely nourishes or encourages that depth of experience, this work becomes even more vital.
My relationship to performance began in my body. I trained as a competitive dancer before fully committing to acting. I then went on to earn my BFA in Acting from Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University, training in a conservatory rooted in the Meisner technique alongside other foundational disciplines that expanded my range and tools as an artist. I also spent a year studying and performing Shakespeare and other classical work at Shakespeare’s Globe in London. An experience that transformed my life and deepened my respect for the scale and responsibility of this art form.
But what shaped me most, and what continues to guide my work, is the understanding that the actor’s instrument is not separate from the self.
You cannot bypass who you are and expect to build truthful work. The work begins with you. Your habits. Your defenses. Your impulses. Your awareness. When you strengthen those foundations and truly get to know the artist underneath, only then can transformation happen.
My love of THIS work is what led me to open this studio.
I believe actors deserve to be guided with precision and care. I believe this art form deserves true respect.
In my classroom and private coaching, focus and discipline matter, but most importantly, so does joy.
This work should steady you. It should sharpen you. And when done correctly, it should also open alongside you. My goal is for you to cultivate the self-trust and awareness that allows you to walk into any room grounded in who you are and fully capable of meeting and exceeding what is asked of you.
I care so deeply about THis process.
It is one of the great privileges of my life to coach artists toward the clearest and strongest version of their craft.
To recognize where they are and develop what already lives within them so that their best work can come forward.
This art form has shaped my life in such profound ways.
And I am honored to walk alongside you as you discover yourself through the work.
